Six BTR-4s participated in the parade. These had been supplied to Iraq in April 2011 together with other 20 vehicles of the same type.
The BTR-4 was developed and manufactured by the State-Owned Enterprise Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau in cooperation with the State Enterprise Malyshev Plant. The vehicles were delivered in accordance with the contract signed between Iraq and the Ukrainian UkrSpetsExport State Company. All the above-mentioned enterprises are included in the Ukroboronprom State Concern.
The work under this contract is being continued. About KMDB: The Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau (KMDB) is a state enterprise, which is now Ukraine's leading design authority for armoured fighting vehicles and used to play a key role in the development of armoured tracked vehicles in the former Soviet Union.
